Event Details: oin us for the 2nd Annual ETTAG Edcamp on June 6, 2017. It's free, fun, challenging and YOU get to choose what YOU want to learn. Anyone with a passion for kids and learning is welcome!
What is an Edcamp?
Edcamp ETTAG is an open, FREE, peer-led "un-conference" committed to reaching all educators in public, private, and higher education with peer-led innovative learning and sharing using pioneering technologies and instructional strategies to transform teaching and learning for all. Attendees will receive free breakfast and will have opportunities to win giveaways. Edcamps are famous for the "Law of Two Feet." If a session is not meeting your needs, you are perfectly welcome to leave; no one will be offended. You can even session-hop and attend as many as you want during a time period.Attendees will receive a personalized, emailed certificate for proof of attendance.
What is the format?
Edcamps are unconferences. Yep, that's right, Edcamps are not conferences! Organizers set the schedule for the day, but all sessions are determined by participants on the day of the event. Everyone is welcome to propose and lead a session where conversation and collaboration are paramount. The day is completely participant-driven. Check out this video to see what it is all about.
Do I have to present?
You do not need to present when you attend an Edcamp. However, anyone with a good idea is encouraged to lead a conversation. Edcamp is all about learning and sharing. You are welcome to propose a session where you are the expert or to propose a session where you are the one with questions or concerns. Sometimes the best learning is born of informal conversation.
