Event Details: Phenix City Schools, in conjunction with Discovery Education, is proud to announce the first annual STEMposium in June of 2017. The 3-day event will attract more than 300 STEM enthusiasts from throughout the world and will feature many renowned STEM speakers and the Dyer Family STEM Center. There will be a focus on edutourism in the valley area, with attendees encouraged to bring their families and take to the white water courses, shops, restaurants, shopping areas, and hotels.

The STEMposium will offer an in-depth look into creating a culture of inquiry, innovation, and impact through STEM education. During a series of interactive sessions featuring the Dyer Family STEM Center, attendees will experience STEM teaching and learning, participate in hands-on STEM activities, and will begin to create the STEM definition and vision for their classrooms and schools. Sessions will be facilitated by trained and experienced STEM professionals, and keynote presentations will be delivered by Discovery Education STEM experts.
